What is COPD?
COPD stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. It’s a group of progressive lung diseases that make it hard to breathe, including emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Smoking is the leading risk factor, but exposure to air pollutants and genetics can also play a role. Early detection and management can improve quality of life.
